At Hand Therapy Plus Total Body Rehab, our mission is to provide the highest quality rehabilitation services to restore optimal functional recovery to individuals that are suffering from chronic pain, injury, illness, or disability.

Kelsey Carrico MS, OTR/L, CHT
Owner | Certified Hand Therapist
Kelsey worked as an occupational therapist at Hand Therapy Plus for three years before becoming the owner in June 2019. Her journey with the practice began long before that—as both a student and therapy technician while attending occupational therapy school.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University in 2013 and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Spalding University. Kelsey is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) specializing in the treatment of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. She is highly skilled in custom orthotic fabrication and is certified in dry needling. In addition to hand therapy, Kelsey specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation and women's health. She is also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, helping women safely recover and return to the activities they love during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Originally from New Albany, Indiana, Kelsey moved to Owensboro during high school and graduated from Daviess County High School. She lives in Philpot with her husband, Brad, and their four children. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, volleyball, hunting, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends.

Ashlee Hicks COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Ashlee has been a valued member of Hand Therapy Plus since June 2018 and has more than 10 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics. She earned her degrees from Western Kentucky University and Madisonville Community College.
Ashlee is skilled in manual therapy and myofascial release techniques and has specialized training in women's health and pelvic floor dysfunction. She is passionate about helping patients regain function and improve their quality of life while continually expanding her clinical knowledge and skills.
Ashlee lives in Owensboro with her husband, Heath, and their son and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Reyna Howard, COTA/L
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Reyna is a native of Daviess County and earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from Madisonville Community College in December 2019. She began her career in outpatient therapy in 2020 and joined Hand Therapy Plus in the fall of 2021.
Reyna specializes in treating upper extremity conditions and is skilled in manual therapy and CranioSacral Therapy. She is passionate about helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and regain the ability to do the activities they love—pain free. Her compassionate approach and hands-on treatment style help patients achieve meaningful improvements in function and quality of life.
Outside of work, Reyna enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children. She loves traveling, gardening, and spending time outdoors in nature. She is dedicated to continually growing as a clinician and providing exceptional care to every patient she serves.

Tammy Cummings, Pt, MPT
Physical Therapist | Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Tammy earned her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Kentucky in 2008. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation, balance disorders, dry needling, and myofascial release.
Tammy enjoys helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through individualized treatment plans.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Jordan, and their daughter and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.

Barbara Thomas, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Barbara joined Hand Therapy Plus in 2022, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a physical therapist assistant. She earned her Associate of Science degree in 1997 and has treated patients ranging from six weeks to 105 years old.
Her professional experience includes long-term care, home health, and outpatient rehabilitation. Barbara has completed numerous continuing education courses and has a special passion for neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), Parkinson's disease, stroke rehabilitation, and balance and fall prevention. She is also a Certified Sacroiliac Joint Specialist and a Certified Food Is Medicine™ Informed Professional, reflecting her holistic and evidence-based approach to patient care.
Barbara grew up in McLean County and now lives in Daviess County with her husband of more than 37 years. They have three grown sons and a growing family that she loves spending time with—especially her grandchildren. She is also active in her church and enjoys mentoring and working with youth.

Deanna Crick
Insurance & Authorization Specialist
Deanna has been with Hand Therapy Plus since January 2014 and brings more than 15 years of experience in medical billing and insurance administration.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Deanna plays an essential role in ensuring patients receive timely insurance authorizations and helping navigate the complexities of medical billing and reimbursement. Her extensive knowledge of insurance requirements helps keep patient care moving efficiently.
She lives in McLean County with her husband and their cat. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, thrift shopping, and coloring.

Lauren H., BSHA
Practice Manager
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern Indiana and has more than 14 years of experience in healthcare administration.
Throughout her career, she has developed extensive expertise in healthcare operations, patient services, and administrative leadership. She is passionate about improving the patient experience, supporting clinical teams, and creating efficient systems that allow the practice to provide exceptional care.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys gardening, kayaking, fishing, painting, cooking, and spending time with her husband, animals, family, and friends.

Paula Richardson
Office & Marketing Coordinator
Paula joined Hand Therapy Plus in June 2023 and brings a diverse background in healthcare. Originally from Delaware, she moved to Kentucky at the age of 12. Her experience includes working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in hospitals and nursing homes, as well as serving in physician office settings.
Paula is passionate about serving others and is actively involved with organizations that support individuals with special needs and mental health challenges. She enjoys creating welcoming experiences for patients while helping promote the practice throughout the community.
Paula lives in Owensboro with her two rescue dogs, Cammie and Delilah. She loves spending time with her daughters, Elizabeth and Emma, cooking for family and friends, attending concerts, creating DIY crafts, and watching Grey's Anatomy, The Pitt, and The Walking Dead. She loves caring for others, and she brings that compassion into everything she does.
